Tadoba National Park is an amazing place surrounded by natural resources, abundant with flora and fauna, and also is a protected tiger reserve. But the place comes alive during the rainy season! The forest becomes much greener and lively. Along with that, a lot of the animals seek shelter in the rain. This place is known for the stately yellow monsoon which lasts for about six months of the year. Many people visit this place throughout the year, but the place gives a lot of joy to the tourists during the monsoon season. The weather changes at the drop of a hat during the monsoon season and the rainfall can change the whole ambience of a place in these months. The monsoon in this region starts around June and the humidity is recorded around 60%. You might find a lot of waterlogged roads and trails. It is really hard to drive through the wet mud, especially if it is dark or overcast. During this time, it is best to drive in the opposite direction of any tour vehicles and to try to avoid the main roads completely. Do not forget to take a flashlight with you as the visibility is rather low during this time.

Some people have a little misinformation when it comes to Tadoba during monsoon, they think that the park is either closed completely or partly. Let us rest these doubts to rest, the park is open during the monsoon though the number of jeeps allowed inside the park is limited to twenty and private vehicles are prohibited entry.

You will have to make sure that you wear an appropriately sized and styled rain jacket. Since the air temperature is quite low, make sure that you are wearing layers of clothes, with a jacket, jeans, cap, and over that shirt and a raincoat. The park is also thickly covered with foliage and the dunes create a comfortable environment for the wild animals, who would otherwise have to come down and look for food.

The best way to reach the park is by road. There are various other options you can choose for a road trip to the park. Drive carefully while driving in the rain while also keeping the speed within the limits. Make sure that your brakes are in working condition, else you might get stuck in the mud.

This region gets a lot of rainfall during the monsoons and there is no place to hide from the rain. Tadoba in the monsoon can be loud when it rains, you will hear a lot of rainfall, thunder and lightning so it is better to keep this in mind when planning to bring infants, elderly, pets, or people sensitive to blinking lights and loud noises.
