Meghlat Tiger Reserve –

The Meghlat tiger reserve is one of the oldest tiger reserves in India. It was founded in 1974 and covers over 3600 square kilometers. As this tiger reserve is located amid the gorgeous Satpura ranges in the Amravati district, the area surrounding the reserve is quite beautiful and gorgeous as well. The lush greenery of the teak forests makes you want to go back there over and over again. Apart from tigers, some of the wild animals that can be seen out there are wild boar, wild dog, gaur, deer, jackal, Indian wolf, striped hyena, and many more species. Meghlat Tiger Reserve lies at a distance of 242 kilometers from Nagpur.

 

Tiger reserve tadoba

 

The River Tapi marks Melghat’s northern boundary. Five tributaries from the Melghat region drain into the Tapi which are Khandu, Khapara, Sipna, Gadga, and Dola. Two state highways Paratwada to Burhanpur and Akot to Harisal Ñ pass-through this tiger reserve. It stretches from Rangubeli and Hatru to the north, to Jarida and Chunkhadi to the east, Kolkas, Tarubanda and Dhakna to the west, and Dhargad and Gullarghat all the way to the south. Semadoh is the entry point if you are coming via the Paratwada-Dharni State Highway and if you are traveling from Madhya Pradesh, the entry point is Harisal, which is located 25 kilometers from Semadoh.

The reserve area has been divided into three distinct different zones. The safari begins from Semadoh, which has a bustling Tourist Complex. It houses the Nature Interpretation Complex, a center for information, and has accommodation facilities as well. It is the starting point for jungle safaris and trekking arrangements, as well as elephant rides, can also be organized from here.

Navegaon Nagzira Tiger Reserve

 

 

Navegaon Nagzira tiger reserve is located in the Pitezari area that is situated in the eastern part of the state of Maharashtra. Due to the massive area of the sanctuary, it is shared equally by both the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The Pench river even flows through both the states and is beyond magnificent. The natural beauty of the park is quite beautiful as it is situated amid the gorgeous Maikal and Satpura mountain ranges. The reserve is located quite close to the Ambakhori waterfalls and is situated at a distance of 67.6 kilometers from the city of Nagpur.

Bor Wildlife Sanctuary 

Bor wildlife sanctuary is also a tiger reserve that is not that popular among tourists in the country of India. It is located quite close to the huge Bor dam. Other animals apart from Tigers that are commonly viewed out there are Cheetal deer, Nilgai, Gaur, and many more species. You will be able to view different species of beautiful migratory birds out there as well when you explore the park. Usually, tourists prefer to visit the park when they go to the Nagriza or Pench tiger reserve and this wildlife sanctuary is situated at a distance of 63.6 kilometers from Nagpur.
