Upon reaching Bandaranayaka International Airport in Colombo, you'll experience the initial warmth of Sri Lankan hospitality. Your tour leader from Red Earth Expeditions will greet you at the airport, and you'll be transported to the city of Colombo (Approximately 40 minutes travel time).
Complete the check-in process at Colombo , where you'll have dinner and spend the night.
After breakfast, head to Hotel near Wilpattu National Park. Enjoy lunch, then embark on an afternoon safari. Wilpattu is known for Villus, rain-filled basins surrounded by grassy plains in dense scrub jungle. The park's sandy paths lead to these lakes, offering chances to spot leopards and sloth bears.
After breakfast, we head to Uley, arriving post-lunch. En route, pause at the Indus-Zanskar confluence, with a brief 30-minute walk on the frozen Zanskar River. Keep an eye out for Urial, Argali, Tibetan Antelope, and Wolf on the way to Uley. At Uley, settle into a charming homestay for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, head to Hotel near Wilpattu National Park. Enjoy lunch, then embark on an afternoon safari. Wilpattu boasts Villus, rain-filled lakes amidst grassy plains and dense scrub jungle. Explore sandy paths for mammal sightings, including leopards and sloth bears.
Following breakfast, depart for Weligama for a two-night stay. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Spend the evening and stay overnight at Hotel.
Embark on a morning journey to Mirissa for a premier Blue Whale watching experience. Cruise from the fishery harbor, exploring coastal waters for whales and dolphins. Visit Dondra Point, and after the boat safari, explore Galle Dutch Fort. Conclude the day with a farewell dinner at Jetwing Lighthouse. Retreat to an overnight stay at Weligambay.
This morning is free for leisure activities. After enjoying a satisfying breakfast, guests will be chauffeured to Colombo airport for their connecting flight.
