There&#8217;s an interesting story attached to these rock pillars.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section id=\"content4-25\" class=\"content4 cid-se94P6DH5z\">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"mbr-row mbr-justify-content-center\">\n<div class=\"mbr-col-sm-12 mbr-col-md-10 mbr-col-lg-8\">\n<h2 class=\"mbr-fonts-style mbr-section-title mbr-light display-2\">The story goes as follows,<\/h2>\n<p class=\"mbr-text mbr-fonts-style display-7\">&#8220;In the olden days, the kings of the Gonda tribes (a local community in Maharashtra) would visit nearby temples to pay their respects to the Gods. To communicate the arrival of the king to the temple&#8217;s priest, these rock pillars were installed. On top of the pillars were metal rings through which a rope passed through and a bell was attached to it. Once, the king was ready to leave, the king&#8217;s army would pull the rope and ring the bell to notify the temple priest of the king&#8217;s arrival.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The rock pillars at the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve acted as the world&#8217;s first telegraph line and one of the very first Telecom Towers. Tourists visiting Tadoba can spot these rock pillars erected on the side of the road going from Mohrali range to Tadoba via Khatoda.<br \/>\nEach rock pillar is about 8-10 feet tall, made entirely of stones, tapering to the top.<br \/>\nAfter the Gond Kings lost control over their kingdom, the rule of the kingdom of Tadoba was restored back to the mighty tigers: The true kings of the jungle.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"mbr-col-sm-12 mbr-col-md-10 mbr-col-lg-8\">\n<h2 class=\"mbr-fonts-style mbr-section-title mbr-light display-2\">The pillars still stand tall<\/h2>\n<p class=\"mbr-text mbr-fonts-style display-7\">\u00a0as a symbol of India&#8217;s concept of improvisation and innovation and a reminder of an era lost gone.
